Low wage workers face tremendous economic insecurity and are underrepresented in the political sphere. Innovations in technology have changed the way that workers can connect and take action. Andrea Dehlendorf and Girshriela Green of OUR Walmart are pioneering a new model for connecting the 1.3 million employees of Walmart across the country through a bottom-up, peer-to-peer based communication platform that will allows them to leverage the power of their numbers.
