Enlisting candidates who are more reflective of their electorates to run

America’s elected officials do not look like America. Over 60% of elected officials are white men, and on average they are far wealthier than the average American. A key reason for this is the “pipeline problem”: too few women, minorities, and working class Americans run for office in the first place. Will Cubbison, a promising graduate student at George Washington University and former campaigner, is working with renowned political scientist John Sides to fix this pipeline.
